చాలాఘోర విషయం . ఇప్పుడు ఆలయాలను మూసివేసి తెలంగాణాకు మద్దతు పలుకుతున్నామని చెబుతున్న అర్చకులు పూర్తి సృహలో ఉండి మాట్లాడుతున్నారా అని అనుమానం వస్తున్నది. టీవీ వాల్లతో మాట్లాడుతూ అర్చకులసమస్యలు ఆలయాలఘోరస్థితి గురించి మాట్లాడుతున్నారు. తెలంగాణాకు అన్యాయమంటూన్నారు . అసలు మీరు చేస్తున్న పోరాటానికి చేస్తున్న నిరసనకు పొంతన ఉందా ? భగవంతునికి నివేదనలు ఆపి వేశాము ఇది మా నిరశన అనటం ఏమాత్రం సబబు ?
ఒకే ఒక్క మాట ఆలోచించండి ...ఇలా ఏ ఇతరమతాల వాల్లయినా తమ దేవతారాధనలను ప్రార్ధనలను మానుకున్నారా ? వాల్లూ తెలంగాణా లో ఉన్నారేగాని వారి మతాచారాలకు ఉద్యమానికి ఏదైనా లింకు పెట్టారా ? ఆమాత్రం ఆలోచన లేదా మీకు ?
వ్యక్తులుగా మీ ఉద్యమాలు మీరు చేయవచ్చు .కాదనం . కానీ భగవతారధన మానుకోవటం ఎంత అపచారం ? ఎంత అరిష్టం ? చివరకు రాజకీయాల్లో మీరూ కీలుబొమ్మలై పోతే పరిణామమేమిటో శాస్త్రకోవిదులైన మీవంటి పెద్దలకు తగినపనికాదు. అలోచించండి
దేవీ భక్తుల పట్ల జాగ్రతవహించాలని కొన్ని ఉదంతాలు మనకు తెలుపుతున్నాయి . ఇటువంటిది నాకు తెలిసినదొక విషయం ఇది.
మాతాత గారు వెంకయ్యగారు అమ్మకు అనన్యభక్తులు . చదువులేకున్నా పూర్వజన్మ సుకృతంగా అమ్మ అనుగ్రహం వలన వాక్సిద్దిని పొందిన వారు. దీక్షగా సాధనచేయడం ద్వారా నామమే మహామంత్రమై అయనను అమ్మ అనుగ్రహానికి పాత్రుణ్ణి చేసినది . ఇప్పటి మంత్రి కాసు కృష్ణారెడ్డిగారి తండ్రి కాసువెంగళ రెడ్డి ,నీలం సంజీవరెడ్డి,భవనం వెంకట్రామిరెడ్డి వంటీ రాజకీయప్రముఖులు ఆయన గురుతుల్యులు . ఏదైనా సంకట పరిస్థితులలో ఆయనను సంప్రదించి సలహాలు స్వీకరించేవారు .
అయితే ఆయన మాత్రం ఏరోజూ భగవంతుడిచ్చిన శక్తిని అత్యాశతో స్వార్ధానికి వాడుకోలేదు. గంపెడు సంతానం . ఆరోజుల్లో మా ప్రాంతంలో జొన్నలు సజ్జలు మాత్రమే పండేవి . వరన్నం దిరికితే స్వామిబువ్వ అని ఆబగా తినేవారు . రేగ్గాయలు పండేభూములని పేరు మాప్రాంతానికి . అలాంటి రోజులలో ఈయన ఎప్పుడూ అన్నదానాలు ,సంతర్పణలు అని వచ్చినదానిని ఖర్చుపెట్టేవారేకాని తనకోసం దాచుకునేవారుకారు. వినుకొండలో మంచిసెంటర్లలో గురువు గారూ కొద్దిగా స్థలం ఉంచుకోండి భవిష్యత్తులో పనికొస్తుందని హితులు చెప్పినా అలాగే సాగర్ కాలువలు వస్తున్నాయని ఈప్రాంతంలో భూమి కొంటున్నవారికి మధ్యవర్తిగా వ్యవహరించినప్పుడు డబ్బుకు బదులుగా భూమి తీసుకోమన్నా తిరస్కరించేవాడు. మాకెందుకండి ఇవి అమ్మ ఉన్నది చాలు అనేవారు. వచ్చిన డబ్బును అమ్మవారి పూజలు అన్నదానాలంటూ ఖర్చుచేసేవారే తప్ప ఈరోజు మేము కోటీశ్వరులమవ్వాలని కోరుకోలేదాయన . మాకు తులంబంగారం ఆస్తిగా ఇవ్వకపోయినా బంగారు కొండ అమ్మను సేవించుకునే అదృష్టం కల్పించారాయన .ఇదే నిజమైన ఆస్థి మాకు.
ఇక ఆయన నిజజీవితంలో ఓసంఘటన [పెద్దవారు చెప్పుకుంటుంటే చిన్నప్పుడు విన్నది] చెబుతాను మీకు.
అప్పటిలో అసెంబ్లీకి ఎన్నికలురాగా వినుకొండ సీటు భవనం జయప్రద గారికి ఇచ్చారు . ఆవిడభర్త భవనం వెంకట్రామ్ గారు స్థానిక నాయకులద్వారా ఈయనగూర్చి విని . ముందుగా ఆయన దగ్గరకు వచ్చారు . గురువుగారూ ! ఈవిడకు మీ ఆశీర్వాదాలు కావాలి ,అనికోరారు . అమ్మ అనుగ్రహంతో అమ్మాయి గెలుస్తుంది . అంతేకాదు పరిపాలనస్థానాన్ని అందుకునే అదృష్టం కూడా ఉంది అని భవిష్యవాణి చెప్పారట. ఆమె ఎంతో సంతోషించి తాతగారూ ! మీ నోటిచలువవలన అదేజరిగితే మీపూజకు కావల్సినవన్నీ నేను చూసుకుంటాను అని అన్నారు. ఏమక్కరలేదమ్మా ! అమ్మవారి పూజజరిపించి , అన్నదానం చేపించాలి అని ఈయన మాట తీసుకున్నారు. తప్పనిసరిగా అని ఆవిడ మాటిచ్చారు.
సరే ! ఎన్నికలలో హోరాహోరీ పోరులో ఆవిడ గెలవటం ,మంత్రివర్గంలో స్థానం లభించటం కూడా జరిగింది. అయితే మనకు ఏరుదాటాక పడవనడిపినవాల్లందరూ వెంటనే గుర్తు రాకపోవటం సహజమే కదా ! అలాగే ఆవిడ ,వాల్లాయనా తమపనులలో తాము బిజీ అయ్యారు. వాల్లంత వాల్లు పిలుస్తారులే అని ఈయన ఎదురు చూశారు . కానీ ఈయన ఆశ నెరవేరలేదు.
ఓరోజు మంత్రిగారు వినుకొండ వచ్చారు . ఆర్ అండ్ బి బంగ్లాలో అధికారులను పార్టీ కార్యకర్తలను కలుసుకుని మాట్ళాడుతున్నారు. ఆరోజు మాజేజినా గారు వినుకొండలోనే ఉన్నారు. ఆయనకు ప్రియశిష్యుడు భూమా ఓబయ్య గారు తన లాడ్జిలో ఒక గదిని ఈయనకు కేటాయించారు . ఈయన వినుకొండలో ఉన్నప్పుడు స్నానపానాదులు జపతపాలు అన్నీ ఆరూములోనే . ఆరోజు మధ్యాహ్నం పన్నెండుగంటలదాకా ఆయన జపం చేసుకుంటూనే వున్నారు. ఆతరువాత ఎలాగూ మంత్రిగారు వినుకొండలోనే ఉన్నారు కదా ! మనమే అడుగుదాము పూజకు అన్నదానానికి ఇస్తామన్న మొత్తాన్ని అని నేరుగా బంగ్లాకు బయలుదేరాడు . తీక్షణం గా జపంచేసి ఉన్నాడాయన . ఆపైన ఏమీ తినక ఆకలితోకూడా ఉన్నాడు. త్వరగా మాట్లాడి రావాలని వెల్లాడు . అయితే అక్కడ కార్యకర్తలు,అధికారులతో హడావుడిగా ఉంది . ఈయన నేరుగా మంత్రిగారి దగ్గరకెల్లాడు. జ్యోతిష్యం వెంకయ్యగారుగా ప్రసిద్దులుకనుక మిగతావారు తొలిగి దారిచ్చారాయనకు. మనమ్మాయే కదా! అన్న ధోరణిలో ఈయన మర్యాదలేవీ పాటించకుండా వెళ్ళటమేకాదు ఏకవచనంతో ...అమ్మాయ్ ! నువ్వు ఇచ్చినమాట మరచిపోయావట్లుంది. నువ్వొస్తావని పూజజరిపించాలని చూస్తుంటే అసలు పట్తించుకోలేదేమిటి ? అంటూ భోలాగా మాట్ళాడుతూ వెల్లి ఎదురుగా ఆశీనుడయ్యాడు. ఈయన ఎర్రనిపంచె పైకండువా మాత్రమే ధరిస్తాడు. నుదుటవీభూధి కుంకుమ మెడలో రుద్రాక్షలు ఇదీ అవతారం.
తానుమంత్రి. పక్కన అధికారులు నాయకులు వినయంగా వచ్చి మాట్ళాడుతుంటే,మంచీ మర్యాదా లేకుండా వచ్చిన
సమయం సందర్భంలేకుండా ఎదో అప్పువసూలుకొచ్చినట్లు వచ్చి అడుగుతున్నాడన్న భావనతో మంత్రిగారికి చిర్రెత్తుకొచ్చింది . అంతటితో ఆగినాబావుండేది .ఆమె దీన్ని అవమానంగా తీసుకున్నది. ఏం ముసలోడా ! ఏంమాట్లాడుతున్నావో ! ఎవరితో మాట్ళాడుతున్నావో తెలుసా ? ముందు బయటకు నడువు అని గర్జించిందట. ఇప్పటిదాకా మంత్రిగారు మనమ్మాయే అన్న నమ్మకంతో ఉన్న ఈయనకు ఇదొక అవమానం. ఏమాట్లాడుతున్నావమ్మాయి? గుర్తుందోలేదో నీకు . నువ్విచ్చినమాటకోసమే వచ్చాను అన్నాడు ఈయన. అది నిర్లక్ష్యంగా భావించిన ఆవిడకు కోపం నసాళానికెక్కింది . వెళతావా లేకపోతే ఈడ్చి బయటపడెయ్యమంటావా అని ఆవేశంతో ఊగిపోయింది . ఇక ఏకళనున్నాడొ! ఈయనకు అప్పుడు ఆవేశం అదుపుతప్పింది . అసలే ఆకలితోకూడా ఉన్నాడు పదిమందిలో అవమానం .... నన్ను బయటకు పొమ్మంటావా ? ఈ అధికారం చూసుకునే కదా పెద్దాచిన్నాలేకుండా ..ఈడ్చి పారేస్తానంటావా ? . నువ్వే పోతావు ఫో ... .... నీకీ పదవి ఊడేదిఖాయం .అ ని కోపంతో శాపనార్ధం పెట్టాడు . ఆరోజు వెంకట్రామ్ గారు లేరు / ఆవిడ తండ్రి గారున్నారు . ఆయనకుకోపంవచ్చి తన్నండ్రా నా కొ.... అని ఏదో తప్పుడుకూతకూడా కూశాడట.మీదకురాపోగా మిగతావారడ్డుకున్నారు . వెంటనే మంత్రి గారు స్థానిక సిఐ . ని చూస్తూ ముందీ ముసలోడ్ని లోపలపడెయ్ తరువాత చూస్తాను అని ఆర్డరేశారు . అప్పుడు సి ఐ. హుడ్ గారని ఉండేవారు .[ఆయన క్రిష్టియన్ అయినా నెల్లూరులో వాల్లమ్మయి పెల్లికి గురువుగారొచ్చి బొట్టుపెడితేనే కుదురుతుందని చెప్పి ,అభ్యంతరంపెట్టిన తమ మతపెద్దలఅభ్యంతరాలను కూడా తిరస్కరించినవారట .అంత గురుత్వం ఈయనంటే . ] ఆయన మంత్రిగారికి చేతులెత్తి నమస్కరించి అమ్మా! నేనాపనిచేయలేనమ్మా ..అని అశక్తతను వెల్లడించారు . ఇక మధ్యలో స్థానిక నాయకులు మధ్యలోకి పరిగెత్తుకొచ్చి ఏదో పెద్దవాడులేమ్మా ! పోనీయండి అని ఆవిడకు కొందరు సర్ధిచెబుతుండగా మరికొందరు గురువుగారూ ముందు మీరు పదండి ,,తరువాతమాట్ళాడదామని ఈయనను బయటకు తీసుకొచ్చారు . ఈయన ఆవేశంతో బుసలు కొట్టుకూంటూ వెల్లిపోయాడు. ఈవిడ కేమి దెయ్యంపట్టినదబ్బా! పెద్దాయనను అంత అవమానించిందని స్థానిక నేతలు మనసులో బాధపడ్దారు.
ఇక మంత్రిగారి అవేశం తగ్గలేదు . మంత్రిగా తాను చెప్పినా అరెస్ట్ చేయని హుడ్ గారిమీదకు మల్లింది కోపం. వెంటనే ఎస్పీ కి ఫోన్ చేసి ఈ సిఐ నా నియోజకవర్గంలో ఉండటానికి వీల్లేదు వెంటనే ట్రాన్స్ఫర్ కావాలి అని చెప్పింది. అప్పటి గుంటూరు ఎస్పీ శ్రీకాంతరెడ్డి తాతగారికి శిష్యుడు.
సిఐ గారు విచారంగా సాయంత్రం జేజినాయనగారున్న రూముకొచ్చారు . గురువుగారూ ! ఆవిడ నామీద కక్షసాధించేలా ఉన్నారు .పిల్లలు చదువులు మధ్యలో ఉన్నాయి,సంసారం మొత్తంఅ టు ఇటుమార్చటం ఇబ్బంది అని తనబాధ వ్యక్తం చేశాడు. ఏం పరవాలేదు. నేను ఇంటికి వెళుతున్నా నలభైరోజులు పూజకు కావలసిన కొబ్బరికాయలు పూజాద్రవ్యాలు పంపు నువ్వు ఒక నెల సెలవు పెట్టు అని చెప్పి మనసులో అగ్నిపర్వతాలు పేలుతున్నట్లు అవమానభారంతో వెల్లాడు.
ఇక ఎస్పీ సిఐని పిలిచాడు గుంటూరు . ఏమిటి ఏంజరిగిందని ? అడిగాడు. ఇలా గురువుగారొచ్చారండి . ఈవిడ చాలా అవమానకరంగా ప్రవర్తించారు అని విషయమంతా వివరించాడు. ఈమెకేమి దరిద్రం పట్టుకుందో ఆయనతో అలాప్రవర్తించింది అని ,సరే నువ్వు సెలవుమీద కంటిన్యూ అవ్వు తరువాత చూద్దామని సలహాఇచ్చారు ఆయన.
ఇక ఈంటికొచ్చిన మాజేజినాయన గారు వీధిలోకి మొహంకూడా చూపలేకపోతున్నాడు . అమ్మముందుకూర్చుని దీనంగా మౌనంగా విలపిస్తున్నాడు పసిపిల్లవానిలా. ఎందుకింత అవమానం .నేనేం స్వార్ధంతో ఎవరినీ అడగలేదు పదిమందికి ఆకలైనవాల్లకు అన్నం పెట్టాలనుకున్నాను అందుకు ఇంత అవ్మానం చేపిస్తావా అని? అమ్మవారిని ప్రశ్నిస్తున్నట్లుగా జపంలో ఉండిపోయాడు . నెల దాటిందేమో
ఇక హఠాత్తుగా రాష్ట్రంలో రాజకీయ వాతావరణం మారింది .జైఆంధ్రా ఉద్యమం ఉదృతరూపం దాల్చింది. బందులు రాస్తారోకోలు కల్లోలంగా ఉంది . చివరకు ప్రభుత్వం రద్దయింది .ఆవిడ పదవి ఊడింది. అంతేకాదు ఈ గొడవలలో రోడ్డుపక్కన కారు ఆపుకుని కూర్చున్న పెద్దమనిషిని[జేజినాయనను తిట్టిన వారు] ఊరేగింపుగా పోతున్నగుంపులో నుంచి ఎవరో కత్తితో పొడవగా అది. బుగ్గల్లోంచి నాలుకను కోసుకుంటూ అటువైపుకి దిగిందట.
ఇక కాలం ఆగదుకదా ! మరలా ఎలక్షన్లకు జయప్రదకే వినుకొండ సీటూ ఇచ్చారు . విషయం తరువాత తెలిసిన వెంకట్రామ్ గారు బాధపడ్దారు. ఎకాఎకిన ఎందుకులే అని ఇప్పటిదాకా రాకపోయినా సీటూ కన్ఫర్మ్ కాగానే మరలా మందీమార్బలంతో వినుకొండవచ్చి గురువుగారిని పిలిపించుకుని ఆశీర్వచనం కోరారు. ఏదో తెలిసో తెలియకో జరిగినవాటిని పెద్దలు మీవంటీవారు పట్టించుకుంటే ఎలా ? మేము మీపిల్లలలాంటివాల్లము కాదా అని తాతగారి కోపం అగ్గేలామాట్ళాడారు. కానీ ఈయన మాత్రం .. ఇక ఈజన్మకు ఈవిడకు అధికార యోగం ల లేదు..లేదు..లేదు .. ముఖాన అలావ్రాసి ఉంది అని అన్నారట, . ముఖం చిన్నబుచ్చుకున్న వెంకట్రామ్ గారు అదేమిటి గురువుగారు అంత కఠినంగా ? అని బాధపడ్డారట . కానీ నాయనా నువ్వు వినయవంతునివి నీకు మాత్రం రాజయోగ ముంది అని పలికారట. సరేలెండి ! పోటీచేస్తున్నది ఆవిడ మధ్యలో నాయోగమెందుకు లెండి అని నిరాశగా మాట్లాడాడు. కాదు నేచెప్పేది సత్యం . నీకు తప్పనిసరిగా రాజయోగం ప్రాప్తిస్తుంది అని అశీర్వదించటం ఆతరువాత అలాగే ఆవిడ ఓడిపోవటం జరిగింది.
కాలక్రమంలో ఎమ్మెల్సీ గాఉన్న భవనం వెంకట్రామ్ను ఇందిరాగాంధీ పిలిచి ముఖ్యమంత్రిని చేయటం తో తాతగారు చెప్పిన భవిష్యవాణి నిజమైంది. ఆతరువాత తాతగారిని హైదరాబాద్ పిలిపించుకుని ఆనందంతో ఆశీర్వాదాలు తీసుకున్నారు వెంకట్రామ్ గారు.

ఈరోజు సంధ్యహారతి సమయంలో ఆలయంలో నుండి హారతినిస్తూ ఆవరణలోని పరివార దేవతలందరకూ హారతి నిచ్చాను. ఆంజనేయ స్వామి వారికి హారతినిస్తూ ఆకాశంలోకి చూశాను .అద్భుతమైన వర్ణసమ్మేళనం గోచరించింది అక్కడ . నేనెప్పుడు అన్నివర్ణాలు అలా మిళితమై ఆకాశంలో ఒకేసారి చూడలేదు . ఎరుపు,నీలం.ముదురు బూడిద,తెలుపు ,పసుపుపచ్చ ఇలా అద్భుతదృశ్యమది. అలానే చూస్తుండిపోతుండగా ఫోటో తీయాలని గుర్తొచ్చి ఇంట్లోకి పరిగెత్తుకెళ్ళి కెమెరా తెచ్చి ఫోటో తీయాలని చూసేసరికే వర్ణాలన్నీ కరిగిపోయాయి . ప్చ్.. ఆ చిత్రాన్ని కెమెరాలో బంధించే అదృష్టందక్క లేదు . చేతిలోనుంచి జారిపోయినచందమామ కోసం మారాం చేస్తున్న పిల్లవాడి లా మనసు గోలచేస్తుండగా అలా క్లిక్ చేశాను కానీ ............ఇవే మిగిలింది .
Simple Home Remedies
These simple and easy to follow Home Remedies are given in good intention. It is always safer to consult a medical practitioner even if the simple ailment is noticed. These home remedies are of non-poisonous, no side effects and very easy to follow. Oh, Please read the disclaimer before you practice -
ANEMIA:
Avoid drinking tea (regular, not herbal varieties) and coffee immediately after meals, as the tannin present in these interferes in the absorption of iron from the food. Drink a cup of herbal tea mixed with 1/4-cup blackstrap molasses each day. This provides 80% of the iron needed in one day.
Foods high in iron: lentils, split peas, green peas, spinach, kale, collards, beet greens, chard, raisins, prunes, figs, dates, dried peaches, dried apricots, nuts, peanut butter, whole grain breads.
Your body absorbs iron from fruits and vegetables. To aid in the absorption of iron from fruits and vegetables, eat them with a good source of vitamin C.
ARTHRITIS:
A daily consumption of few fish oil capsules helps to give relief of arthritis and other joint pains. 3-4 walnuts eaten daily, on an empty stomach, will help. (Oh, Srivaishnavites & Veggies, Pardon me for listing this here!)
ASTHMA:
Mix 1 tsp. honey with 1/2 tsp. cinnamon and take it at night before going to bed. Avoid taking aspirin, as this may invoke an asthma attack.
BLADDER INFECTION:
Take a bag of fresh or frozen cranberries and boil them in water (they will fall apart). Cool and drink. Don't add sugar! This remedy is also useful for people with kidney problems.
BLADDER STONES:
Boil 2 figs in 1 cup of water. Drink daily for a month.
BRUISES:
Slice a raw onion and place over the bruise. Do not apply this to broken skin.
COLD AND FLU:
Take a few fresh betel leaves and crush it until it gets into pieces. Squeeze it to get a teaspoon full of essence mix it with honey. Taking twice or thrice a day would help reduce common cold.
CONSTIPATION (IN ADULTS):
Eat a few black licorice sticks. Take apple pectin. Make sure you're getting enough Folic Acid in your diet. Drinking ginger tea will help start a bowel movement.
CONSTIPATION (IN SMALL CHILDREN):
Soak 6-8 raisins in hot water. When cool, crush well and strain. When given routinely even too little infants, it helps to regulate bowel movement.
COUGHS AND ASTHMA:
Steep 3-4 cloves of garlic in a cool, dark place for 2 weeks. Use several drops at a time, several times a day for coughs or asthma. Garlic is an exceptional cleanser for the body and has anti-microbial action similar to other antibiotics.
DEPRESSION:
3/4 cup of cooked spinach a day is enough to give dramatic relief from depression if you are deficient in B vitamins.
DIARRHEA:
Eat boiled sweet potatoes seasoned with salt and pepper before bedtime to cure chronic diarrhea.
EARACHE:
Steep 1-2 tsp. chamomile flowers in boiling water for 10-15 minutes. Strain out the water, and apply the hot flowers in a cloth for alleviation of the earache.
ECZEMA:
Rub a whole nutmeg against a smooth stone slab with a little water and make a paste. Apply on affected parts. (Note: It is believed by some rural, old fashioned practitioners that instead of water, one's own early morning saliva can be used for better results.)
ENERGIZER:
Simmer 1-cup honey and 3-cup water together slowly. Allow 1 cup of the water to evaporate. Strain off the top surface, and put the remaining liquid into a stoneware crock or dark bottle. Put a towel over it so it can breathe, yet be free of dirt. Place in a cool place. You can add cinnamon, clove, or the juice of 2 lemons, if you like.
FATIGUE:
Take a glass of grapefruit and lemon juice in equal parts to dispel fatigue and general tiredness after a day's work.
HANG-OVER:
Eat honey on crackers. The fructose in the honey will help to flush out the alcohol in your system.
HAY FEVER:
Steep 1 tsp. fenugreek seed in 1-cup water, covered, for 10 minutes. Drink 1 cup a day to help hay fever symptoms.
HEADACHE:
Eat 10-12 almonds, the equivalent of two aspirins, for a migraine headache. Almonds are far less likely to upset the stomach.
HICCUPS:
Drink 1/2 glass of water, slowly. Keep a tsp. of sugar in your mouth and suck slowly. Suck 2-3 small pieces of fresh ginger. This helps in hiccups, which keep occurring again and again. OR Take a large mouthful of water without swallowing, plug both ears, and slowly begin to swallow the water. Unplug your ears and you're hiccups free!
INSECT BITES:
Mix water with cornstarch into a paste and apply. This is effective in drawing out the poisons of most insect bites and is also an effective remedy for diaper rash.
MORNING SICKNESS:
Mix 1 tsp. each fresh juice of mint and lime, and 1 Tbsp. honey. Take 3 times a day.
MOSQUITO BITES:
Apply limejuice diluted with water on bites with cotton ball.
MUCUS IN COUGH:
Pour 1 cup boiling water over 1/2 tsp. each of ginger, ground cloves, and cinnamon. Filter. Sweeten with 1 tsp. honey and drink.
MUSCLE CRAMPS:
Apply clove oil on the affected body parts.
NAUSEA:
Boil 1/2 cup of rice in 1 cup of water for about 10-20 minutes. After it is boiled, drain the water into a cup and sip at the rice water until symptoms are gone.
OBESITY:
Mix limejuice with honey and water; drink a glass of this every morning. Mix 3 tsp. limejuice, 1/4 tsp. black pepper, 1 tsp. honey, and 1-cup water; drink a glass a day for 3 months. Mix 1 tsp. lime juice with 1cup water and drink each morning. Eat a tomato before breakfast.
OVERWEIGHT:
Effective for getting rid of fat, drink up to 3 cups of green tea daily. Regular tea can also be used with a lesser effect. In the olden days, people used to take Horse Gram soup in the empty stomach that burns extra fat.
PAIN RELIEVER:
Mix 3 Tbsp. of honey in boiled water and drink. Honey has natural pain-relieving powers.
SMELLY FEET:
Soak feet in strong tea for 20 minutes every day until the smell disappears. To prepare your footbath, brew two tea bags in 2 1/2 cups of water for 15 minutes and pour the tea into a basin containing two liters of cool water.
SMOKING HABIT:
Lick a little salt with the tip of your tongue whenever you feel the urge to smoke. This is said to break the habit within 1 month.
SORE THROAT:
Mix 1 tsp. limejuice and 1 Tbsp. honey. Swallow tiny amounts slowly 2-3 times a day.
SPLINTERS:
Lay scotch tape over the splinter and pull off. Soak the area in vegetable oil for a few minutes before removing with tweezers.
STOMACH ACHE:
A simple cure for a stomachache is to dissolve 1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon in 1-cup warm water, cover and let sit for 15 minutes, and then drink it like tea. This remedy can also ease diarrhea and flatulence.
STOMACH ACIDITY:
Drink coconut water 3-4 times a day. Have a plateful of watermelon and/or cucumber every hour.
TOOTHACHE & MOUTH PAIN:
To ease toothache or other mouth pain, make tea by boiling 1 Tbsp. fresh peppermint in 1 cup water and adding a little salt. Peppermint is an antiseptic and contains menthol, which relieves pain when applied to skin surfaces.
VARICOSE VEINS:
Take 2-3 tsp. black strap molasses orally daily. This also treats all kinds of circulatory ailments.
VOMITING AND NAUSEA:
Sucking a piece of ice controls vomiting. Eat 1/2 tsp. ground cumin seeds. Cinnamon and sliced ginger work by interrupting nausea signals sent from the stomach to the brain. If you are an herbal tea drinker, simply sprinkle cinnamon on the tea and drink. To make ginger tea, simmer a few slices of ginger in hot tea water.
WARTS:
Try taping a slice of garlic to the wart. Be sure to first protect the surrounding skin with petroleum jelly.
